French wildfire evacuees returning home

French authorities have authorized approximately 84,000 evacuees to return to their homes in southwest France following a major wildfire that burned an area four times the size of Paris. The decision came as cooler weather and rain improved conditions and helped stabilize the blaze, which had initially displaced over 220,000 people.
