    ICE has requested Texas not to release Jefferson Adonay Velasquez-Torres, an 18-year-old El Salvadoran national accused of two fatal shootings in Houston, without ICE notification. Velasquez-Torres faces murder charges for a 2023 nightclub shooting and a 2022 house party shooting, as well as charges for unlawful weapon possession and aggravated robbery. He entered the U.S. illegally in 2014 and was denied bond after being held in a Texas jail.
