Austin police have issued arrest warrants for first-degree murder and tampering with evidence against an 18-year-old man accused of shooting 'a friend' more than a dozen times and dumping the body near the Colorado River. Court records state the suspect also attempted to destroy evidence.

Justin Spangle pleaded no contest to charges including driving while license suspended causing death and tampering with evidence after striking the boy in Roseville on August 18, 2023.
