- Man charged with murder in north Charlotte double shooting
Marquaris DeMontez Timmons, 24, was charged with murder and other offenses following a July 10 double shooting in north Charlotte that killed 20-year-old Cameron Elijah Gilliard-Robinson. The incident occurred on North Tryon Street near West 30th Street, with both victims hospitalized and one in life-threatening condition. The investigation remains active.

The Monroe Police Department arrested 20-year-old Zion Lindsey in connection with a June 27 shooting incident where shots were fired into a vehicle on Maurice Street. No injuries were reported. Another shooting occurred the same day on Icemorlee Street, also without injuries, and both investigations are ongoing.
