- Republican Indiana Senate leader who defied Trump on redistricting leaving post
The Republican leader of the Indiana Senate announced his decision to step down after six GOP incumbents who opposed President Donald Trump on congressional redistricting lost their primaries. Rodric Bray, who led the Senate since 2018, will remain in office until 2028 but will not seek reelection to his leadership role, following criticism from Trump over his stance on the redistricting plan.
