Wealthy Americans choose one grocery store chain over rivals, survey finds

A YouGov survey found that 11% of higher-income Americans (earning at least $150,000 annually) primarily shop at Costco, the most among grocery retailers, followed by Kroger (10%) and Walmart Supercenter (8%). Walmart Supercenter was the most popular among middle- and lower-income shoppers (20%), while Costco membership costs range from $65 to $130 annually. Analyst Phil Lempert attributed Costco's appeal to its bulk sizes and value for larger households.
