- Richmond reaches agreement with Shoosmith Landfill wastewater processor on illegal leachate
Richmond has reached an agreement with Shoosmith Landfill wastewater processor, which was accused of illegally accepting landfill leachate. The processor will stop accepting the waste, and Richmond is considering a permit modification requiring a study of perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) and contaminants.
- Analysis of trade-offs of post-sorting plastic packaging
An analysis published in Nature reveals that post-sorted plastic packaging has similar target polymer purity to source-separation methods, but contains more contaminants requiring removal before recyclate production.
