[eu] Just got hit with “alaye” on a gay app – is this a common scam now?
A user on a gay app encountered a scammer who used the Nigerian scammer identifier 'alaye' during a conversation. The scammer claimed an ex instructed them to use the term and later requested a video call, which the user rejected. The user reported three scam attempts on the app within a short period.
