Brussels South Charleroi Airport will suspend flights from August 15 to October 31, 2028, for 11 weeks to reconstruct its runway and upgrade infrastructure. The €50 million project could affect over 2 million passengers, with trade unions expressing concerns about long-term traffic and employment. Ryanair and other airlines, including Wizz Air and Pegasus Airlines, will be impacted, as Ryanair recently reduced seats due to increased boarding taxes.
