Daniel Naillieux's dog, Ellie Rose, woke him up just before a fire destroyed his home in Wahoo. When smoke filled the room, they escaped by crawling out of a window onto the roof and calling 911. Although Naillieux lost everything he owned, he credits the dog with saving his life.

Daniel Naillieux was saved from a house fire in Omaha, Neb., by his dog, Ellie Rose, who woke him up early in the morning. Realizing they were trapped, Naillieux escaped with Ellie Rose through a window onto the roof and called 911. Although he survived, Naillieux lost everything he owned, and the Saunders County victim assistance program is helping his family recover.
