A 27-year-old woman, Marle Fleming, died from injuries sustained in a shooting at a northwest Charlotte home. Her brother, Marques Fleming, was arrested in connection with the incident, and authorities are investigating potential additional suspects.

Marques Fleming, 25, was arrested by the FBI in Atlanta for a 32-round shooting at a Wabash Avenue home in West Charlotte, which injured two people and affected 12 others, including children. Fleming, previously charged in a 2020 murder case, is awaiting extradition to Mecklenburg County.

A 76-year-old man died in a house fire on Wabash Avenue in Redlands. The Redlands Fire Department responded to the fire and found the man suffering from burns. He was provided with medical attention but unfortunately did not survive.
