    US Army picks out Vampire to fill a gap in its layered drone defenses

    The US Army has contracted L3Harris to supply its Vampire counter-drone system for $106 million, enhancing layered defenses against hostile drones. The modular system uses APKWS rockets and can engage targets up to six kilometers away, with over 350,000 operational hours in combat since 2023.
