- Helping Venezuela: State Department deploys Miami-Dade search-and-rescue team
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue's search-and-rescue team, including Florida Task Force 1 with 80 specialists, was activated by the U.S. State Department to assist in Venezuela following two earthquakes. - Oxygen rushed to man stuck 30 feet underground in Norh Hollywood
A man was trapped 30 feet underground in a narrow hole in North Hollywood, requiring an oxygen mask to be lowered to him. Rescue crews, including the Los Angeles Fire Department and Urban Search and Rescue specialists, worked on a confined-space rescue near NoHo House North.
