The High Pay Centre reports that the median remuneration of a FTSE 100 CEO reached a record £5.06m in the last financial year, an 8.6% increase from £4.66m the previous year. This pay rise has widened the earnings gap between UK company bosses and average workers to the largest in eight years, with CEOs earning 130 times the average worker’s salary.
