Dawn Turner, a 57-year-old mother from the UK, was hospitalized with takotsubo syndrome (broken heart syndrome) after her veteran son committed suicide in August 2025. Her symptoms, including chest pain and shortness of breath, mimicked a heart attack but were linked to extreme grief and stress from her son's death.
