    Ninth Circuit lifts block on AI-powered shopping assistant

    The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals vacated a lower court's preliminary injunction against Perplexity AI's Comet shopping assistant, ruling Amazon's claims under the CFAA and CDAFA were unlikely to succeed. The panel concluded users, not Perplexity, access Amazon's systems via the AI tool, and Amazon failed to prove unauthorized access.
