- Fewer Florida residents are receiving federal food benefits
Florida's SNAP enrollment dropped 23% from June 2025 to June 2026, with 2,285,099 residents enrolled in June compared to 2,970,283. The decline accelerated after the July 2025 enactment of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, which cuts SNAP spending by $187 billion over a decade and imposes new state cost-sharing requirements for states with high payment error rates.
