Democrats and experts criticize a compromise between Todd Blanche and two Republican senators, which could allow Blanche's confirmation as attorney general, for being weak and allowing Donald Trump to easily reverse its provisions. Blanche withdrew an order for a $1.8 billion weaponization fund and clarified that the tax immunity granted by the justice department applied retroactively to Trump, his sons, and businesses.
