Police have launched a manhunt following the theft of a Hanuman idol at Tirumala. The incident has prompted a security response to recover the stolen religious artifact.

Biophore India Pharmaceuticals CEO Jagadish and CSO Manik Reddy Pullagurla each donated ₹1 crore to the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) scheme in Tirumala. TTD chairman B.R. Naidu received the demand drafts at his Tirumala Camp Office.

Tirumala taxi drivers are protesting against harassment by TTD staff, who allegedly use the pretext of not downloading data/apps to undermine their livelihood. A labour union leader claims this threatens the drivers' source of income.
