Fire crews in Southwest Miami-Dade are battling a grass fire near Tamiami Trail, with no structures or injuries reported. Rainstorms aided firefighting efforts, and the cause remains unclear. All lanes on the Florida Turnpike and Krome Avenue have reopened in West Miami-Dade as crews battle three wildfires. Brush fires in west Miami-Dade have burned approximately 20,000 acres, leading to ongoing traffic closures on Krome Avenue, Florida’s Turnpike, and parts of the Tamiami Trail. The largest fire, 'Quarry 2,' has scorched 17,600 acres and is 97% contained, while a separate fire near Medley has burned 1,425 acres and is 60% contained.
