    Ramaphosa Accepts Immediate Resignation of IDAC Chief Andrea Johnson

    President Ramaphosa accepted Andrea Johnson's immediate resignation as IDAC head on 27 July 2026. Johnson resigned to avoid a fitness inquiry following damaging testimony at the Madlanga Commission. A new IDAC Ombud office led by retired Judge Takalani Raulinga was launched on 10 July 2026.
