- Support for cellphone bans in schools reaches new high, survey finds
A Pew Research Center survey found 77% of U.S. adults support in-class cellphone bans for middle school and high school students, with 48% backing all-day bans—a significant increase from 36% in 2024. Over 20 states have implemented all-day bans, and 38 have other restrictions on student phone use.
