- London cops handed victim's new address and number to her stalker, watchdog says
The UK's data protection regulator criticized London's Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) for mishandling sensitive information in two incidents involving a stalking victim and a honeytrap operation. In one case, unredacted documents revealed a victim's new address and phone number to her stalker, while an email error exposed addresses of 18 people targeted in a honeytrap scheme. The Information Commissioner's Office issued an enforcement notice and reprimand, citing wider policy failures in MPS procedures.
