- Missouri governor fills long-vacant teacher seat on state education board
Missouri Gov. Mike Kehoe appointed Vince Schoemehl, a former St. Louis mayor, to the State Board of Education to fill a voting seat and Michael McDonald, a Kansas City math teacher, to an advisory position that had been vacant since 2018. Schoemehl succeeds Pamela Westbrooks-Hodge, whose term expires in July, and McDonald fills a non-voting teacher seat created by lawmakers.
