Oxxo, Mexico’s largest convenience chain, is expanding into lending through its parent company FEMSA, which partnered with QED Investors, a global fintech fund. FEMSA retains majority control of the lending business, while Spin, its financial app, operates across 24,000 Oxxo stores with 11 million active users.

E-scooters are currently illegal in Pennsylvania despite widespread use, but proposed legislation (House Bill 1633) aims to legalize and regulate them based on a successful Pittsburgh pilot program. The bill would allow cities to establish e-scooter programs with specific rules, including age and speed limits, while excluding Philadelphia at the city's request.

Orbital founder Euwyn Poon, previously involved in building 250,000 scooters at Spin, has raised $5 million to develop 10,000 space data centers.
