Britain is poised for a record hot summer, and large parts of the country are currently officially in drought. The country is dealing with drought conditions, leading Southern Water to apply for a rare drought order that would ban nonessential water use. Furthermore, there has been an increase in wildfires, posing public health risks, particularly in hospitals where nursing staff are suffering from heat exhaustion.
