- Motorcyclist seriously injured in a crash along Platte Avenue on Monday
A motorcyclist sustained serious, life-threatening injuries after colliding with the rear of a trailer being towed by an RV during a right-hand turn on eastbound Platte Avenue near Iowa Avenue. Bystanders assisted the rider, who was wearing a helmet, before medical personnel transported them to the hospital. Colorado Springs Police Department investigators do not suspect drugs, alcohol, or speed as contributing factors.
