- Small plane makes emergency landing in ocean off Florida coast
A small Piper PA30 twin-engine plane crashed into the ocean off Florida near Boca Raton. The pilot, Faith Tenkley, survived after experiencing engine trouble and broken landing gear while flying from Fort Myers to South Bimini Airport in the Bahamas. After gliding toward open water, she avoided nearby buildings and people, and the FAA is currently investigating the incident.
