Delays in presidential approval of judicial extensions have caused the term of an Sindh High Court additional judge to expire, with four Peshawar High Court judges facing similar expiration. The Judicial Commission of Pakistan recommended extensions, but the Presidency has not issued notifications, citing the president's constitutional role in judge appointments.

The Peshawar High Court halted the deportation of a man named 'Quaid-e-Azam' and ordered him to appear before the National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra) for verification. His national identity card was blocked, causing him hardship as a Pakistani citizen running a business.

IHC registrar issued a notice to Justice Babar Sattar, directing him to vacate his Islamabad residence within 30 days after the Estate Office canceled the allotment. The order followed his transfer to the Peshawar High Court and required him to leave by August 3. Justice Sattar had previously expressed intent to retain the Islamabad accommodation despite the transfer.

The Federal Constitutional Court (FCC) ruled that land acquired for industrial purposes cannot be converted into residential housing schemes, upholding a Peshawar High Court (PHC) decision against Adil International (Pvt) Ltd's attempt to repurpose mill land. The FCC emphasized the land, acquired in 1954 for Paper and Board Mills, must retain its original use, rejecting the company's claim to convert it into a housing scheme.

The Judicial Commission of Pakistan (JCP) has initiated a process to fill 10 vacant additional judge positions in the Lahore High Court. The commission approved new interview rules and established a seven-member panel to evaluate candidates, following the 27th Constitutional Amendment that expanded the JCP's authority to set judicial appointment criteria.

The Supreme Judicial Council (SJC) in Pakistan amended the Code of Conduct for judges to allow superior court judges to attend political or diplomatic functions with prior approval from chief justices. The June 11 meeting, led by Chief Justice Yahya Afridi, also included the newly established Federal Constitutional Court (FCC) in the code's title and updated procedures for reporting attempts to influence judicial decisions.
