Paul Finlayson, a non-Jewish Canadian professor, was fired from the University of Guelph-Humber for defending Israel in a social media post, after facing a targeted campaign and an investigation that found his conduct violated human rights codes. He had responded to a LinkedIn message calling for the eradication of Israel, stating he stands with Israel against antisemites. Finlayson's termination letter cited a formal complaint of discrimination and harassment.
