Noble Task Force

The city of Livonia is seeking a private partner to redevelop the vacant Alfred Noble Library building, which has been shuttered since 2019 due to mold and safety concerns. A task force created in 2025 is leading efforts to preserve the historic structure while attracting an investor to fund renovations and maintenance. The library's proximity to the new Sheldon Park, under construction with a $5 million city investment, is seen as a potential asset for the redevelopment.
