NextBSD returns to dollop Apple source on FreeBSD

NextBSD, a BSD variant initially created by FreeBSD co-founder Jordan Hubbard in 2015, has been revived under new management led by Joe Maloney. The project aims to integrate Apple's open-source Darwin OS components into FreeBSD, replacing FreeBSD's userland with Darwin's publicly available code. The new initiative, distinct from the original project's inactive GitHub repository, is spearheaded by Maloney, who previously contributed to GhostBSD's Gershwin desktop.
