Ecowas approved a $25 billion pipeline to transport natural gas from Nigeria to Morocco through 13 West African countries, aiming to boost regional gas exports. The project, led by Nigeria and Morocco, will deliver 30 billion cubic meters of gas annually, with half destined for European markets.

NNPC Limited reported a profit after tax of ₦462 billion in May 2026, a decline from April despite achieving its highest crude oil and condensate production in a year, along with improved gas output and stronger pipeline availability.
