Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti stated the province's security and governance situation is neither ideal nor as negative as depicted by external media. He highlighted initiatives like youth welfare programs, improved healthcare, and school reforms, while criticizing one-sided narratives that harm Pakistan's image. Bugti also addressed security challenges, alleging support for terrorism from Afghan territory and Indian intelligence networks, and emphasized dialogue with political groups.

The Balochistan government has ordered a high-level inquiry into the Sorange coal mine disaster, which killed 34 miners, assigning the investigation to the Chief Minister’s Inspection Team. Four mines were sealed as part of the probe, and concerns were raised about safety standards and regulatory oversight in the province’s coal mining sector.

Balochistan Assembly approved a Rs119 billion supplementary budget for 2025-26 without debate, allocating Rs28.35 billion to the energy sector, Rs12.67 billion to PDMA, and Rs5.4 billion to health. Development spending exceeded Rs58 billion, with major allocations for the Balochistan Special Development Initiative and infrastructure projects.
