    At least 17 people killed by gunmen in northwestern Nigeria

    Gunmen killed at least 17 farmers and wounded 13 others in Goron Namaye, Zamfara state, northwestern Nigeria. The attack, attributed to armed gangs, occurred as farmers worked in their fields.
