Manitou Springs City Council

The Manitou Springs Fire Department opened its doors to the community to showcase new fire mitigation equipment, funded by $690,000 from the Manitou Springs City Council. The department also introduced residents to its fuels crew and demonstrated tools like the Burn Boss for managing debris and vegetation. These tools are deemed especially beneficial for preventing a major wildfire given the dry summer conditions in Manitou.
