    Louisiana’s school teacher stipend plan tweaked – again

    Louisiana school districts can now use locally-funded teacher pay increases to offset state funding cuts intended to cover mandated stipends. The updated plan, approved by the Louisiana Board of Elementary and Secondary Education, allows districts to reduce required stipends and state funding cuts if they provide local pay hikes, even as small as $500.
