Kinburn Spit

Ukraine's 123rd Separate Territorial Defense Brigade conducted the first known fully robotic amphibious assault by deploying a naval drone carrying an armed ground robot into Russian-held territory on the Kinburn Spit. The ground robot fired its machine gun at a target after landing, marking a new development in uncrewed systems for combat missions.

The Ukrainian Naval Forces destroyed a Russian supply boat in the Black Sea near the Russian-occupied Tendra Spit during a logistical mission. This follows Ukrainian forces raising the national flag on Kinburn Spit after a Russian retreat in southern Ukraine.

Russia initially captured Kinburn Spit, a strategic Ukrainian territory near several ports, but appears to have withdrawn forces from the area. The spit's strategic value included enabling attacks on Ukrainian mainland and potential advances toward Odesa.

Russian units in Ukraine’s Kinburn Spit are reportedly withdrawing from parts of the occupied area after Ukrainian strikes disrupted supply routes. The Atesh partisan group claims deliveries of ammunition, fuel, and food were cut off, leading elements of Russia’s 337th Regiment to abandon some positions.
