    Search team reaches Broad Peak base camp with body of renowned mountaineer Nirmal Purja

    A search team recovered the bodies of Nirmal Purja and three teammates killed in an avalanche on Broad Peak, but three climbers remain missing. The Alpine Club of Pakistan confirmed the remains would be returned to families, while recovery efforts continue.

    Search teams recover famed climber Purja's body and 3 others from Pakistan peak

    Search teams recovered the bodies of British-Nepali climber Nirmal Purja, Chinese climber Zhong Wang, and Nepali climbers Nima Sherpa and Kilu Sherpa from Broad Peak in Pakistan, bringing the total recovered to seven after an avalanche killed 10 members of an international expedition. The Alpine Club of Pakistan described the recovery as one of the most technically challenging on the mountain.
