A Russian missile entered Polish airspace and crashed 60 miles inside the country, according to NATO and Polish officials. Ukrainian fighter jets attempted to intercept Russian missiles near the border, but at least one breached Polish airspace. Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk stated there was no indication of a deliberate attack on Poland.

NATO member Poland scrambled fighter jets and activated air defenses after Russia launched over 70 missiles and 280 drones on Ukraine, killing eight and wounding dozens. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy highlighted a shortage of Western-supplied interceptors, while the EU disbursed $4 billion for Ukraine's defense. A suspected Russian Kh-101 missile was detected near Poland, and an Iskander-M missile strike killed six, including two children, near Kryvyi Rih.
