An Alaska woman, Lori Price, used a Glock 43 9mm pistol to defend her dog Chaos from a black bear attack during a mushroom-foraging trip near Skilak Lake. The bear initially attacked Chaos, prompting Price to fire twice, allowing her and her dogs to escape. Chaos sustained severe injuries but is recovering, while the other dog, Willis, was unharmed.
