    JPL-Managed Perseverance Rover Finds Evidence of Repeated Ancient Mars Impacts

    NASA’s Perseverance rover, managed by Jet Propulsion Laboratory, found evidence that repeated asteroid strikes formed a 245-foot-thick rock sequence on Mars’ Jezero Crater over 3.9 billion years ago. The findings, published in the Journal of Geophysical Research: Planets, were highlighted in a NASA news release.
