- On Wall Street, barely sleeping was a badge of honor. It inspired me to quit and launch a health startup.
Josh Hou left his investment banking job at Evercore after a year of work, inspired by the realization that people often fail to measure outcomes related to healthcare choices or supplements. He cofounded Ren, a health app that allows users to run experiments on their bodies to track how specific interventions affect their well-being. The concept was fueled partly by observing the pervasive 'all-nighter' culture of Wall Street.
