A national museum heard of a 101-year-old Murfreesboro WWII veteran. Its historian flew in to record his story

John Carroll, a 101-year-old WWII veteran from Murfreesboro, shared his military experiences with Chandler Stark, an oral historian from the National World War II Museum. Carroll, who served in the U.S. Army for three years after being drafted at 19, recounted details including his training at Fort Bliss, Texas, and use of a 120 millimeter anti-aircraft gun. His story will be preserved in the museum's historical archives.
