The Aspen Acres Fire has burned 100,000 acres in Custer and Pueblo counties, destroying over 850 structures and leaving parts of Beulah nearly unrecognizable. The fire, which encircled Beulah two weeks ago, has turned the community into a 'moonscape' and resulted in the loss of the historic Horseshoe Lodge in Pueblo Mountain Park.
