    South Florida's Florida Atlantic University Marine Science Lab studies leatherback and other sea turtle hatchlings, using satellite tagging to track their deep dives and researching climate change's impact on sex ratios in nests. Despite a record 41 leatherback nests this season, only one in a thousand hatchlings survive to adulthood due to environmental challenges.
