Jose Enrique Martinez Flores, an alleged senior leader of the Venezuelan Tren de Aragua gang, was extradited to the US on historic terrorism charges and appeared before a judge in Houston. He is the first alleged TdA member to be charged with material support of terrorism and extradited to the US. The extradition is a significant development in the prosecution of cartel members.
