- 2,000 volunteers join a painstaking effort to restore massive skeleton of prehistoric predator
Over 2,000 volunteers in Warsaw are collaborating with scientists to restore the skeleton of a nearly six-meter-long Mastodonsaurus at the Copernicus Science Centre. The public restoration project involves non-experts chiseling away rock to reveal the largest known specimen of this prehistoric aquatic predator, discovered in southern Poland in 2023.
