- China’s rare earth reserves could be much larger than reported: leading geologist
China’s Bayan Obo mine in Inner Mongolia, the world’s largest rare earth deposit, may hold more resources than currently reported, according to geologist Yang Li of Peking University. The mine contains 100 million tonnes of rare earth reserves and has been central to China’s rare earth industry.
