    Ford, GM Defense, BC Customs to compete for US Army’s new infantry squad vehicle

    The U.S. Army awarded contracts to Ford, GM Defense, and BC Customs to develop prototypes for the Infantry Squad Vehicle-Heavy (ISV-H), requiring 4,000-pound payload capacity, 60 kW power output, and extreme-temperature recharging. The Army plans to test three models from each company by March 2027, with an initial purchase of 34 vehicles at $463,000 each.
